Building Character Workshop

Building Character!

(A six week character creation workshop)

Work with 4 professional instructors to build an original character from scratch…literally! You’ll work with a playwright to invent a character and write a script, a puppeteer to create and bring the character to life, a dialect coach to give them a voice, and a director to bring all the elements together for a scene that’s all your own!

We are excited to bring you a project where you are part of the artistic process. Open to ages 9-16, this once a week series will lead you through the creation of characters to the puppet performance of a scene that comes from your boundless imagination. Our talented artistic staff will guide you through creating a puppet, giving it a personality and a voice, and bringing it to life in a scene designed by you and your class.
